The Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH) aims to enhance and support digitally-enabled research and teaching across the arts and humanities. DARIAH is a network of people, expertise, information, knowledge, content, methods, tools and technologies from its member countries. It develops, maintains and operates an infrastructure in support of ICT-based research practices and sustains researchers in using them to build, analyse and interpret digital resources. By working with communities of practice, DARIAH brings together individual state-of-the-art digital arts and humanities activities and scales their results to a European level. It preserves, provides access to and disseminates research that stems from these collaborations and ensures that best practices, methodological and technical standards are followed.
DARIAH was established as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) in August 2014. Currently, DARIAH has 22 Members and several Cooperating Partners in ten non-member countries.
DARIAH has impact on four interconnected domains: research, education, culture and economy.

L'Infrastruttura di Ricerca Digitale per le Arti e le Scienze Umane (DARIAH) mira a migliorare e sostenere la ricerca e l'insegnamento digitali attraverso le arti e le scienze umane. DARIAH è una rete formata da persone, competenze, informazioni, conoscenze, contenuti, metodi, strumenti e tecnologie provenienti dai suoi paesi membri. Essa sviluppa, mantiene e gestisce un'infrastruttura a sostegno delle pratiche di ricerca basate sulle TIC e sostiene i ricercatori nel loro utilizzo per costruire, analizzare e interpretare le risorse digitali. Lavorando con delle comunità di pratica, DARIAH riunisce tutte le attività individuali di arte digitale e umanistica all'avanguardia e mette a disposizione i risultati raggiunti a livello europeo. L'Infrastruttura, dunque, si occupa di preservare, fornire accesso e diffondere le ricerche e i risultati che derivano da queste collaborazioni e garantisce il rispetto delle migliori pratiche e degli standard metodologici e tecnici.
DARIAH è stata istituita come consorzio europeo per l'infrastruttura di ricerca (ERIC) nell'agosto 2014. Attualmente conta 22 membri all'interno della CE e diversi partner cooperanti in dieci paesi non-membri dell'Unione.
DARIAH incide su quattro settori interconnessi: ricerca, istruzione, cultura ed economia.
